1. Don't be a moron. Godmodding? Obviously not gonna fly. Same goes for powerplaying, Mary Sueism, netspeak, asshattery and so on. Just use your common sense, people.
2. Your character must be from an established canon, however small their role may have been. They may not enter the game at any older than 18. The Inn is a place for the young. Characters who are older than 18 in canon are very much welcome - they can be brought in from a point in their childhood, pre-canon if need be.
3. The Inn exists outside of time, so we can take some (okay, a lot of) liberties with timelines - for instance, it would be allowable to have a Harry Potter and a Lily Evans in the game at once. However, we would prefer it if characters within the same generation in their canon stick to a similar age range - so that we don't end up with, say, a twelve-year-old Hermione Granger and a seventeen-year-old Harry Potter.
4. Dead characters are allowed. Sometimes, folk get lost on the way to the afterlife. The Inn's a refuge for them, too. Inside the Inn's grounds, the dead essentially behave as living beings (although they can't reproduce unless your character comes from a canon where it's possible for the dead to do so). Whether they can leave the Inn, and what status they have in the outside world (eg. ghost/non-corporeal, etc.) is up to you, as long as it's in step with your character's canon.
5. You must post at least once a fortnight.
6. You can be posting in two or more places at once, assuming that each thread is happening at a different point in time.
7. If your thread goes above PG-13, please label it with the appropriate warnings.
8. Each player can have no more than six characters, and no more than two per fandom. Crossover fandoms (eg. Buffy and Angel) do count as a single fandom in this case.
